IWPG Peace Education: CPR Training and Community Building for Global Peace

The International Women's Peace Group (IWPG) Donghae-Samcheok Branch demonstrated that peace begins with practical action by hosting CPR safety training and a Peace Book Café on October 27th.
In partnership with Doldam Village Cooperative and Gangwon Safety Culture Center experts, IWPG organized hands-on CPR training where participants learned life-saving techniques, embracing the message that "saving one life is practicing peace." Following the training, IWPG hosted a Peace Book Café where attendees read and discussed "The World's Strongest Rooster," reflecting on how peace exists in our connections with each other. Cooperative members shared that the session provided a meaningful opportunity to reconsider what peace and happiness truly mean.
The IWPG branch leader emphasized, "Peace doesn't start with grand words—it starts with small actions." IWPG is an international women's NGO registered with the UN, operating in 122 countries with 115 branches and over 800 partner organizations, working toward sustainable global peace through women's peace education, international peace art contests, and global peace network building.
